About

The DadApp was a task and management tool for new fathers to keep track of their busy schedules.

Situation

A group of soon to be fathers saw a need to an application devoted to the responsibilities that overwhelm new dads.

Challenge

The goal was to produce an application that would at a glance, allow the user to track, check and repeat baby-related tasks.

Solution

We collaborated with our dad group documenting their needs and perceived pain points to drive our design. This led us to a radially structured application allowing main features to be accessible within one click. Of particular importance was a dark mode to reduce aggravation that a bright LED has on a sleeping baby.

Results

Successful development, production, and deployment of the DadApp MVP to the Apple store.

Reflections

This was my first instance of driving a product from A to Z and massive amount was learned. A particular take away was the communication skills developed communicating design objectives with international development teams.

Deliverables

  • Low & mid & high fidelity mocks and prototyping of User Interface

  • Product Design
